Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.
This is a benefited, full time position working 8-hr days. Shift times fall between 6:30am-8:30pm on varied days. Weekend and holiday flexibility required. There will also be an expectation for flexibility to float to neighboring Scripps HealthExpress locations as needed. This position will primarily be pediatrics.

Position Description
- Pediatric Medical Assistant
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment
- Perform patient care services that support the providers and clinic
- Front Office responsibilities such as registration, scheduling, patient check-ins, collecting co-pays and check-outs
- Clinical support by checking patient vitals, rooming patients, stocking exam rooms, point of care duties, immunizations, covid swabbing, and providing patient education
- Wide variety of acute care patients
- Patient volumes of 25 and up per day (sometimes as high as 50)
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program OR hold a Medical Assistant Certification OR have a minimum of two years of experience as a military corpsman
- BLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 year MA experience in an outpatient setting
- Pediatric experience
