Scripps Mercy Hospital Chula Vista provides a variety of medical and surgical services, including inpatient and outpatient care. Within the hospital you’ll find our 24-hour emergency room and many other specialty services ranging from cancer care to stroke care.
This is a full-time 10-hour day shift position at Scripps Chula Vista.. Bonus Eligible*

Join our Scripps operating room team as a Lead Surgical Tech (Spine) where you will ensure OR rooms are ready for surgery, including all case-specific supplies and equipment are sterile and ready for use. Monitor sterile field throughout procedure. Scrub for cases, anticipate the needs of the physician and operating team. Take initiative to utilize appropriate support services to resolve issues. Position and transport patients. Organize room cleanup and ensure efficient room turnover, including decontaminating equipment as necessary.

Position Pay Range: $36.72-$53.23/hour

Required Qualifications
- 3 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in the OR.
- Technical competence in multiple surgical services.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Current BLS from the American Heart Association
- Excellent communication skills. Basic computer skills. Able to multi-task and work well in a team environment. Detail oriented and able work well in a fast-paced, high stress environment.
- Able to train and coach others
- 4 years’ experience in the main OR
- General and Ortho strongly preferred
