Job Purpose:
Lead, inspire, and grow our Fort Wayne service team as Branch Manager — a hands-on, lead-by-example role reporting directly to the owner. You’ll work alongside and mentor crew leaders and technicians installing motorized screens and awnings, three-season rooms, screened porches, and performing screen and window/door repairs, while helping to build a high-performing, customer-focused operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be a player and a coach: complete installations of our products while overseeing a team of technicians.
- Lead and energize the team: foster teamwork, motivation, and positive employee relations.
- Coach for success: develop crew leaders and technicians through clear guidance, recognition for excellence, and timely, respectful correction when needed.
- Run daily operations: oversee scheduling, project timelines, employee hours, and ensure projects finish on time and on budget.
- Coordinate projects end-to-end: plan, assign, and manage jobs efficiently, working closely with customers and crews.
- Deliver outstanding customer experiences: communicate professionally, resolve concerns quickly, and represent Screenmobile professionally.
- Ensure quality and safety: review work to meet project specs and safety protocols, train staff on proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Review and approve team hours and resolve any clock-in/out issues.
- Maintain accurate and appropriate inventory levels to support current and upcoming projects.
- Ensure team members have the appropriate tools, materials and training needed to complete all tasks and responsibilities.
- Periodically engage in sales by presenting solutions and building relationships with homeowners, builders, property managers, contractors, and business owners.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years’ hands-on construction experience, preferably in exterior improvements, remodeling or new construction.
- Experience managing crews and construction projects from start to finish.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic and unquestionable integrity.
- Valid driver’s license with insurable driving record and reliable transportation.
- Experience using email, phone and various technologies to support the business.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work on ladders/heights, and work in varied weather conditions for extended periods.
- Availability to work 12-14 hours per day, 50-60 hours per week, evenings and weekends during our busy season (March – November).
Salary : $50,000 - $60,000
