Title: Shipping/Receiving Supervisor

Reports to: Production Manager

Job Summary

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervision of dock hands, picking orders, scheduling deliveries in plant truck, booking short and long haul shipping, and receiving product into the plant.

Summary of essential job functions:

Shipping

• Supervision of dock hands
• Review orders for requirements, accurately pick and/or oversee order fulfillment. Notify CSR of completed orders ready for pick up.
• Daily to weekly scheduling of shipments using online order system, ensuring minimization of all back orders. Working with purchasing as required.
• Manage shipping and tracking of sub-contract items sent to third party locations.
• Prepare orders to be sent out according to information on the packing slip, guaranteeing no damage will occur in transit.
• Continually asses shipping costs, follow best pricing practices.
• Completion of all Customs paperwork for cross-border shipments
• Manage the local delivery schedule, truck logs and maintenance.

Receiving

• Receive packages to the warehouse, unpack and verifying contents against appropriate documents.
• Ensure received goods are accurately input into the computer tracking system and neatly maintained in racking.
• Stock shelves with received shipments, using the appropriate sorting/organization system and equipment, including forklifts.
• General
• File packing slips from suppliers and co-workers.
• Print service and production documents as required.
• Ensure the warehouse is maintained in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
• Perform local pickup and delivery tasks outside regular warehouse duties as necessary.
• Perform cycle counts on stocked product
• General cleanup, sweeping of floors and garbage removal as required
• Adhere to all Health & Safety, Material Handling, and equipment policies and procedures
• Take the initiative to implement continuous improvement wherever possible to enhance and promote the goals of the organization promoting Screenco Values
• Other duties as assigned periodically

Minimum Requirements

• Forklift License
• 4 years’ working experience in shipping/receiving
• Computer skills – ERP and Microsoft Office
• Abilities Required
• Detail oriented
• Strong analytical skills
• Organizational and project management skills are mandatory
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
• Effective working independently or in a team environment.
• Process oriented
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred
• Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
• Energetic individual with a proven track record of accountability and results.
• Lean Manufacturing an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $56,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
