POSTED ON 6/2/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/2/2026

Well, hello there đź‘‹

Castify (Creators of Screencastify) is a leading technology company dedicated to improving communication and learning outcomes with video. We have established ourselves as a leader in the K-12 education sector in the United States and we are critical in helping scale a teacher and improve student outcomes. We are also actively expanding into new and exciting markets outside of K-12 including bringing our tested solution into post-secondary education along with companies and organizations. Castify is used by over 15M people today and is seeking a high-impact Sr. Director of Growth Marketing to join our Squad!

About this role

What started as the simplest and most reliable screen recorder in the world, with millions of users, is now a multi-product, AI-first platform. Our near future is full of ambitious new goals, features, and products that will enable us to further improve how we provide service to our users and accelerate growth.

We’re looking for a hands-on B2B SaaS growth leader to own the full marketing function as we scale our next stage of expansion, evolving from a widely-used screen recording product into an AI-first learning and collaboration platform. This role will own both strategy and execution across demand generation and product marketing to drive measurable revenue growth across self-serve and sales-led motions. As the Senior Director of Growth Marketing, you’ll report directly to the President, GTM, and play a key role in shaping and scaling our overall marketing function. Leading a team of one marketing individual contributor, you’ll be expected to roll up your sleeves, execute alongside the team, and help build the foundation for future growth.

What you’ll do:

Go To Market Ownership:

  • Understand and own the full marketing lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive revenue growth while collaborating closely with the Sales team.
  • Align Marketing initiatives to closed revenue.
  • Leverage B2C demand to drive B2B sales.
  • Create a consistent outbound sales and marketing motion.

Product Marketing

  • Customer Communication Strategy: Define and own a comprehensive communication framework across the customer and product journey, leveraging email, notifications, in-product prompts, and other channels to drive engagement and retention.
  • Product Expertise & Enablement: Serve as the go-to product expert, creating sales enablement materials, customer-facing content, and internal training programs to support customer success and sales teams.
  • Market Research & Customer Insights: Conduct user interviews, analyze customer needs, and gather market insights to inform messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Thought Leadership & Advocacy: Represent Screencastify at conferences, industry events, and customer meetings, advocating for the brand and gathering insights to improve market positioning.

Team Leadership and Coaching:

  • Lead and inspire a lean marketing team, consisting of one individual contributor, providing guidance, strategy, mentorship, and constructive feedback.
  • Implement coaching strategies to enhance the performance of the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that drives increased sales, top of funnel traffic, and conversions.

Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with the executive team to develop and execute strategic marketing plans aligned with the company's overall objectives.
  • Drive initiatives to reach new accounts and expand the company's market share within the K-12 education sector while launching new campaigns to expand into new markets such as post-secondary education and corporate.
  • Align our messaging and value proposition with market needs.

Metrics and Reporting:

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Provide regular, detailed reports on individual and team performance, identifying areas for improvement and success.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with product development, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment with company-wide initiatives.
  • Act as a liaison between the marketing team and other departments to foster a cohesive and collaborative work environment.
You’re perfect for this role if you:
  • Bring proven experience in B2B SaaS growth marketing, directly driving pipeline and revenue growth.
  • Have worked in early-stage or growth-stage startups (fewer than 50 people) and thrive in environments that require full ownership and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Excel at building and scaling demand generation engines that connect marketing activity to measurable business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate strong GTM partnership experience, working closely with Sales to design, define and execute high-impact go-to-market strategies.
  • Have a track record of expanding products into new markets or customer segments.
  • Bring deep product marketing expertise, including positioning, messaging, segmentation and translating product capabilities into revenue-driving campaigns.
  • Thrive in hands-on leadership roles where you are responsible for both setting strategy and driving execution in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate as a self-driven problem solver with a results-oriented approach.
  • Have experience marketing products in the Chrome Web Store.

This is a Chicago-based position with 3 days a week in the office.
