Screen Graphics is seeking a Die Cutting Operator to support production operations and maintain quality standards within our manufacturing environment. This entry-level role is responsible for assisting with die cutting operations, maintaining equipment, and ensuring finished products meet company specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain production and quality standards by supporting the timely flow of work through the die cutting department.
- Follow department standard operating procedures and company production guidelines.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers and supervisors.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Work scheduled shifts and arrive to work and meetings on time and prepared.
- Demonstrate ethical behavior and sound judgment in daily work activities.
- Assist with other duties as assigned.
Die Cutting & Production Duties
- Obtain production dies and assist with installing die boards in the chase.
- Align and position chases in the press.
- Adjust guides, fingers, gauge pins, and grippers for die cutting operations.
- Fit rubber to steel rule dies and prepare make-ready sheets.
- Run proof samples and submit them for approval before beginning production runs.
- Measure or compare finished parts with standards to verify conformance to specifications.
- Start and monitor press operations, adjusting speed and feeder settings as needed.
- Feed sheets into the press and remove cut parts from the machine.
- Perform routine maintenance on presses and feeders, including lubrication and minor adjustments.
- Change die rubber and assist with sharpening cutting edges of dies when necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and equipment.
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn manufacturing equipment operation.
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
- Ability to follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the county and the United States.
Work Environment
This position operates within a manufacturing environment and may require standing for extended periods, operating machinery, and handling production materials.
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
