Job Overview
Screaming Eagle Delivery, Inc. is seeking a reliable and dedicated Part-Time Sub Rural Mail Carrier to serve a contracted mail route in Fort Yates, North Dakota . This is a 4 hours a day, 85 miles round trip route on days that the current driver needs a subsitue. This position focuses on timely, accurate mail delivery while maintaining exceptional customer service, safe driving practices, and efficient route management. Responsibilities

• Sort mail and packages into delivery sequence
• Load mail and parcels into the vehicle in proper order
• Deliver mail and packages along an established route in a timely, accurate manner
• Safely operate a delivery vehicle and adhere to all traffic and postal regulations
• Dismount vehicle when required for packages, Express Mail, or accountable items
• Collect outgoing mail and packages
• Maintain accurate records and route documentation
• Follow safe driving practices during roadside delivery
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Assist with basic warehouse tasks such as loading or organizing shipments as needed
• Protect the security of all deliveries and maintain confidentiality of customer information

Skills

• Experience in delivery driving, courier services, warehouse operations, or customer service preferred
• Strong time management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage rural route navigation efficiently
• Experience with commercial vehicles (box trucks, manual transmission) a plus
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is helpful

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid driver’s license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Must pass a Postal Inspection Service criminal background check and drug test
• Must have and maintain a delivery vehicle with at least 240 cubic feet of cargo space
• Must carry appropriate vehicle insurance
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform routine physical tasks
• Must adhere to postal delivery schedule (Monday–Saturday, approx. 7 to 8 hours daily)
