Inside Sales: Construction Supply

Scranton’s Thruway Builders is currently hiring for an Inside Sales Representative at their Young Street, Tonawanda location. We are a family owned company and major supplier of brick, block, stone, hardscape, and construction supplies to meet the needs of a variety of industries, including commercial contractors, home builders, municipalities, masons, landscapers, highway and bridge contractors. Responsibilities:

• Receiving and processing requests directly from customers (via telephone, email, walk-in) for price quotations, product availability, customer orders, material returns, billing corrections, product information, order changes, and cancellations
• Quickly and smoothly resolve customer complaints and problems
• Coordinate delivery and/or pick up of customer orders with operations teams
• Provide support to Outside Sales force (also serve as a backup for Outside Sales)
• Generate price quotations in a timely manner
• Maintain strong relationships with customers
• Review job plans and bidding documents for quotes and support for Outside Sales personnel
• Assist in customer training of product uses and applications
• Assist walk in customers

Required Qualifications:

• Prior inside Sales Experience, self-motivated, confident and have an interest in the construction field. The customer base ranges from small business owners, masons, landscapers, construction managers and jobsite superintendents to estimators and purchasing agents of large construction firms.
• Experience communicating directly with customers
• Strong computer and technology skills including excel, word, outlook.
• Good written and verbal communication
• Problem solving and prevention
• Planning, organization and time management
• Self-motivated, sense of personal responsibility
• Positive attitude and the ability to work well with others
