The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our Finance Department. This role will help maintain financial records, manage accounts payable and receivable, process deposits, and assist with reconciliations across several affiliated organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enter journal entries, invoices, and deposits
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
- Support monthly close and audit preparation
- Assist with budget tracking and reporting
Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Experience in bookkeeping or accounting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficiency in Sage Intacct and Microsoft Office
This is a full-time in office position based in Scranton, PA. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. No relocation assistance or visa sponsorship is available.
