Job Description:
South Coast Resolutions is seeking reliable and safety-conscious Traffic Control Flaggers to join our team. As a Traffic Control Flagger, you will be responsible for directing and managing the flow of traffic around construction sites, road maintenance projects, or other areas where traffic control is needed. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety of workers, drivers, and pedestrians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain traffic control signs, cones, and barriers.
- Direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic using hand signals and signs.
- Communicate clearly with other flaggers and construction workers to coordinate traffic flow.
- Monitor traffic conditions and adjust signals as needed to ensure safety.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with the public.
- Follow all safety regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid traffic control certification (e.g., ATSSA, Flagger Certification) or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience as a traffic control flagger or in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
