Position Overview

• Patient Volume: 86k annual ED volume
• Acuity: Level II Trauma Center
• Beds: 498 bed hospital and 56 emergency department beds
• EMR: EPIC with Abridge AI Note
• Coverage Model: 10 MD Shifts Per Day and 3 NPPA Shifts Mon/Tues and 2 NPPA Shifts Wed-Sun
• Moonlighting: No moonlighting residents

Qualifications

• Education: FNP or ENP
• Licensure: Must have or be able to obtain a Texas license
• Experience: Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Badges: ACLS (through AHA), PALS, ATLS

The department delivers rapid, compassionate assessment and treatment for adults and children with access to on-site labs and imaging, streamlined check-in processes, and direct connection to inpatient and specialty services within the CHRISTUS Health network. As part of a facility that includes a Level II designated trauma center with surgeons and support services available around the clock as well as two rooftop helipads, the emergency team is equipped to manage a broad spectrum of urgent and critical conditions while ensuring seamless continuity of care with follow-up and specialty referrals. The hospital also offers extensive critical care capabilities, including medical-surgical, neuro, cardiothoracic, and intermediate care ICUs, along with a Level III NICU and advanced cardiac services through the Louis and Peaches Owen Heart Hospital.
