Director, Business Solution Architecture
We are seeking a hands-on, strategic, and highly collaborative Director of Business Solution Architecture to establish and lead the Business Solution Architecture (BSA) function across the organization. Key Responsibilities
Establish BSA Framework, Governance & Competency
- Define and implement the Business Solution Architecture framework, including roles, responsibilities, artifacts, and engagement models.
- Establish and enforce solution governance standards across Salesforce and enterprise applications.
- Define BSA competency models, best practices, and quality standards for solution design and documentation.
- Coach the team on nuanced aspects of solutioning, including tradeoff analysis, platform constraints, scalability considerations, and business-to-technology translation.
- Remain actively engaged in discovery, solutioning, and design sessions, particularly for complex or high-impact initiatives.
- Translate business requirements into clear, scalable functional designs aligned with platform capabilities.
- Review, refine, and approve solution designs, providing hands-on guidance and corrective direction where needed.
- Act as an escalation point for complex architectural decisions across Salesforce, QGenda, mySCP portal, and related systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Business Solution Architects.
- Provide hands-on coaching, design reviews, and real-time feedback to elevate solution quality and consistency.
- Establish performance expectations, career paths, and development plans for BSA team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Partner closely with Product, PMO, Platform, Integration, and Data teams to align solution design with delivery and enterprise standards.
- Work with Product Owners to shape demand intake, prioritize initiatives, and sequence delivery.
- Collaborate with integration and data teams to ensure accurate, consistent, and governed data flows across systems.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business and technology stakeholders.
- Define and maintain functional architecture standards across platforms.
- Contribute to and influence platform and solution roadmaps, ensuring designs support long-term scalability and reuse.
- Partner with Enterprise and Technical Architects to ensure alignment between functional and technical architecture.
- Embed security, privacy, and compliance requirements into all solution designs.
- Ensure adherence to naming conventions, access models, development standards, and documentation practices.
- Support audit and regulatory needs through strong governance and traceability.
- Provide architectural leadership throughout Agile delivery.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives as needed.
- Support UAT, release readiness, and change management activities to ensure successful adoption.
- Stay current on Salesforce releases, industry best practices, and updates to QGenda and mySCP portal.
- Identify opportunities to improve solution quality, delivery efficiency, and user experience.
- Champion continuous improvement and architectural discipline across the organization.
Experience
- 10 years in business analysis, solution architecture, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce and similar enterprise applications
- Experience operating in healthcare or regulated environments preferred.
- Microsoft Azure, AWS, Project Management, experience preferred
- Deep understanding of Salesforce data models, security, automation, and integrations.
- Strong grasp of multi-system integration patterns and data flows.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
- Salesforce Administrator (preferred).
- Salesforce App Builder or Architect certifications (preferred).
- AWS Certifications (required or equivalent technical experience)
- Practitioner-first leader with the ability to balance strategy and execution.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent judgment in navigating ambiguity and architectural tradeoffs.
- Collaborative, proactive, and outcomes-oriented.
