Role Description
The District Executive is a full-time hybrid role based in Oxford, MS, with some flexibility to work from home. In this position, you will engage with community partners and volunteers to promote Scouting programs and expand participation. Responsibilities include volunteer recruitment and training, fundraising, membership growth efforts, and supporting youth development initiatives. You will act as a key representative of Scouting America in the community, fostering relationships with local organizations and overseeing programs and activities aligned with the organization’s mission.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, planning, and time-management abilities
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proven experience in volunteer recruitment, training, and relationship management
- Fundraising, budget management, and strategic planning expertise
- Proficiency with basic computer applications and familiarity with CRM software is a plus
- Passion for youth development and community engagement
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field preferred
- Experience in youth organizations or nonprofit sectors is highly desirable
