What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Designer position at Scout?
We’re looking for a full-time Designer who can move fast, own projects end-to-end, and bring both taste and execution to everything from product screens to brand moments. This is a high-autonomy role. You’ll have the space to create, the responsibility to lead design direction, and the chance to make a visible mark on how the world experiences our product.

- Own design across product, brand, and marketing.
- Create polished, intuitive UI/UX in Figma, with a strong eye for interaction and usability.
- Lead motion design projects: animations, micro-interactions, short videos, and visuals that make our product come alive.
- Build and evolve our brand system including visual identity, style guidelines, and campaign concepts.
- Partner with product and leadership to translate abstract ideas into high-impact visuals.
- Prototype quickly, test ideas, and ship work that pushes the product forward.
- Strong portfolio spanning UI/UX, motion design, and branding.
- Expert in Figma, comfortable creating both systems and pixel-perfect detail.
- Ability to shift between creating high-level concepts and hands-on execution.
- Strong taste, with a sense for modern design patterns and able to bend them when it creates something better.
