Industrial Maintenance Technician

Oxford, PA | Full-Time, Direct Hire | $28.50–$35.00/hour

Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday, with schedule flexibility and occasional weekend coverage as needed. Some later-day coverage may be required based on team needs.

Scout is hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician for an established manufacturing facility in Oxford, PA. This is a hands-on plant-floor role focused on equipment reliability, preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems.

The ideal candidate is a well-rounded maintenance technician who can diagnose problems, make repairs with minimal supervision, and contribute across multiple trades. This is a stable, long-term opportunity with strong benefits and a retirement/pension program.

What You'll Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs on plant machinery and production equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems including conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose industrial electrical issues involving motors, sensors, switches, relays, contactors, breakers, power supplies, and related controls
  • Use a multimeter and other diagnostic tools to identify electrical and mechanical faults
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and production downtime and determine the root cause of failures
  • Complete work orders and preventative maintenance documentation accurately
  • Assist with equipment installation, repairs, modifications, piping, wiring, and fabrication as needed
  • Identify worn or failing components and complete repairs independently when appropriate
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and other maintenance team members to resolve recurring equipment issues
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized maintenance and work areas
  • Follow all environmental, safety, lockout/tagout, and operational procedures

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years of hands-on industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting ability with experience repairing production equipment
  • Working knowledge of motors, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, sprockets, chains, and valves
  • Practical industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize breakdowns, and complete repairs with limited supervision
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, team-oriented work style with a willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment and systems
  • Comfortable using Windows-based systems for email, work orders, and basic documentation

Nice to Have

  • Welding and fabrication experience, including MIG, stick, cutting, grinding, or related shop work
  • Experience troubleshooting 3-phase motors, VFDs, motor starters, relays, or industrial controls
  • PLC troubleshooting or diagnostic exposure
  • Maintenance experience on industrial forklifts or other mobile equipment
  • Background in heavy industrial, lumber, wood products, food, packaging, plastics, or similar manufacturing environments

Compensation & Benefits

  • $28.50–$35.00 per hour, based on experience
  • Direct-hire position

Work Environment

  • Indoor and outdoor industrial setting with exposure to heat, cold, humidity, dust, and changing weather conditions
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working around production equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, with heavier loads handled with assistance or equipment
  • Must be comfortable working in an active industrial production environment
