POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance and repair of all production mechanical equipment. Also responsible for facilities equipment and utilities, as directed.

RESPONSIBILITIES – Satisfactorily performing and/or achieving the following responsibilities are essential duties of the job:

Lead and execute preventative maintenance (PM) activities across all production and facility equipment by ensuring:
All preventative maintenance is performed at the appropriate interval and completed by assigned due dates
Equipment always remains in its designed and/or validated state
Equipment is maintained proactively to maximize uptime and reduce unplanned downtime
Work is completed in accordance with SOPs and equipment manufacturer service guidelines
Identify, document, and correct potential equipment issues before failure occurs, utilizing inspections, checklists, and condition-based monitoring
Support maintenance, operation, and repair of all production-related systems and equipment, with priority placed on preventing breakdowns rather than reacting to them
Respond to mechanical breakdowns, equipment adjustments, and changeouts as needed, while driving root cause solutions to prevent recurrence
Maintain all assigned equipment areas in a constant state of inspection-readiness, including cleanliness, safety, and compliance
Assist in projects for facility modification, capacity expansion, and efficiency improvements, with a focus on long-term reliability and maintainability
Keep supervisor informed of PM completion status, equipment health, and project progress; recognize when to escalate or request support
Employee is at work as scheduled, starts work at the beginning of a shift, is on time to meetings, completes assigned tasks in a timely manner, and works overtime as required
Demonstrates initiative and job knowledge by suggesting improvements to preventative maintenance programs, identifying failure trends, and implementing better solutions
Employee knows and follows Maintenance Department policies and procedures and Scout policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Must demonstrate the ability to comply with all plant PPE requirements and safety protocols
Must possess the skills and ability to work autonomously while conducting routine electrical and preventative maintenance tasks
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The tasks listed are the most physically demanding tasks required of the Maintenance Technician position.
· Standing - worker stands on concrete, rock, dirt or equipment (frequent basis)
· Walking - worker is walking on concrete floors, rock, or dirt during the shift (frequent basis)
· Lifting - required to lift various tools, parts, and equipment such as an electrical testing and measuring equipment, conduit, ladders and scaffolding, hoisting and rigging equipment. Some of the equipment can weigh up to 50 lbs. Typically the technician is lifting and carrying power tools, drills and hand tools weighing up to 20 lbs.
· Carrying - carries tool kits and calibrating equipment weighing up to 30 lbs., extension ladders
· Pushing/Pulling – minimal
· Climbing - steel ladders (occasional)
Balancing - good balance is required during ladder climbing, scissor lift work
· Bending - dependent on the maintenance job being performed; the jobs vary from day to day
· Kneeling – occasional
· Reaching - full ROM
· Handling- good manual dexterity required in repair of circuits, pumps, motors, and working with hand tools and testing equipment
· Squatting – occasional
· Sitting - occasional

• Work authorization (Preferred)


Shift: 6AM to 4PM with occasional weekends. Paid overtime

Hourly pay $20-$25 dependent on skillset

Salary : $20 - $25
