Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision and care for children of various ages, including infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical development.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, bathing, dressing, and nap times for infants and toddlers.
- Support children with developmental needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized care.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding children’s activities, milestones, and any concerns that arise during your shift.
- Ensure a clean, organized environment conducive to play and rest while adhering to safety standards.
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and follow proper caregiving protocols to handle emergencies effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in babysitting, nannying, daycare work, or related childcare roles with children of different ages.
- Knowledge of infant care practices including feeding schedules, diapering routines, and sleep training.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly valued.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to engage children through educational play, storytelling, and nurturing interactions.
