About Scottsdale Bible Church (SBC):
This position is located at our beautiful Cactus Campus on Cactus and N 25th Place in east Phoenix. God has faithfully grown SBC from a humble beginning of 13 people in 1962 to more than 6500 meeting weekly on four (soon to be five!) campuses. With plans to start other multi-site campuses in the coming years, we continue to press forward to take the message of Jesus into our communities throughout the Valley!

As the Worship Pastor, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to Associate Pastor, Worship Arts and are responsible to help the congregations of SBC worship God with all their heart, mind, soul, and body, working alongside our worship and campus pastors to help maintain a consistent experience inside the various venues.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
Weekly Worship:
- Provide primary worship leadership for weekly worship gatherings
- Work alongside the Campus Pastor to execute services effectively
- Act as program director for services to ensure excellence in programming
- Create the service flow for worship services (worship, message, creative expressions, baptisms, communion, etc.)
- Be responsible for integrating creative elements into worship services (art, design, media, video, etc.)
- Assemble multiple worship teams (bands, vocalists, etc.) by recruiting, and developing volunteers
- Select and arrange music to meet the needs of the congregation
- Collaborate with the Production team
- Participate as a team member of both the Worship Arts staff as well as the campus staff
- As a member of SBC’s broader pastoral team, assist with the development of church-wide ministry goals and work with the senior leadership to ensure that SBC’s vision is being carried out
Administration:
- Perform administrative duties related to leading worship (upload charts, print service flows/charts, build or edit Ableton sets, schedule volunteers, etc.)
- Create a ProPresenter playlist for worship songs and work with the Production team to integrate other media (announcement slides, videos, message slides, etc.)
- Communicate with volunteer staff to encourage their involvement, provide details that clarify their responsibilities, and clearly outline their schedules
- Commit to developing volunteers who move through the PEO process – Participation, Engagement, and Ownership
- Maintain updated serving in ROCK
General Worship & Arts:
- Participate in and provide worship leadership for all-church events (Easter, Christmas, Worship night, etc.)
- Occasionally lead worship for other ministries and events
- Participate in and provide leadership assistance for CREATE
- Participate in all necessary worship team meetings (service planning and review, ongoing training, etc.)
Shepherding:
- Be committed to leading worship team volunteers toward spiritual health and integrity
- Pray for and maintain regular communication with worship arts volunteers (e-mail, personal contact, phone calls, etc.)
- Partner with the Campus Pastor as a pastoral resource for any needs represented within the congregation
- Continue to pursue personal holiness and study of Scripture to minister more effectively

Education and/or experience:
- A level of education (or working toward) and experience commensurate with the position: Master of Arts or Master of Divinity or equivalent; more than 5 years of demonstrated ministry leadership experience
- 3 years of experience in similar role
This position requires in-office work and does not qualify for a remote arrangement.
Church Membership is required for most paid positions.
