As the Tempe Women’s Ministry Director, you are a vital part of the Team, responsible for carrying on the Vision, Mission and Values of SBC. In this role, you will report to the Tempe Campus Pastor and are responsible for supporting, growing, implementing, and developing the ministry goals of Women’s Ministry, including shepherding, Biblical discipleship, teaching and ministering to women, growing current ministry opportunities, and implementing new opportunities, as well as growing current ones.
Your Essential Responsibilities:
In this position, you will:
- Work alongside as well as assist the Minister to Women Team Lead in developing women to help connect and grow the ministry
Cast Vision
- Assist in bringing to life the vision and annual theme for Women’s Ministry cast by the Minister to Women Team Lead
- Create opportunities for new ministries to flourish to keep the ministry current and relevant to the culture of the women being served
Team Build
- Create and build teams to implement the ministry plan
- Responsible for the ongoing recruitment, training, and appreciation of volunteers for the ministry
- Commitment to developing volunteers who move through the PEO process – Participation, Engagement, and Ownership
- Maintains updated serving teams of all your volunteers in ROCK
Execute Ministry
- Support and come alongside the Minister to Women Team Lead in implementing ministry plans and goals
- Develop relationships with women to help them connect within the ministry
- Be involved in social media planning, implementation, and execution
- Act as teacher, mentor, counselor, and prayer partner for women as needed
Other Responsibilities (Non-Essential):
- Serve with SBC Tempe staff team and participates in all church events and programming
- Related duties or special projects as assigned
Skills you need to succeed:
Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word)
Demonstrated competency in:
- Decision quality

- Leadership and teaching, with the ability to encourage, enable and equip women to use their gifts and talents in ministry
- Organizational and planning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to:
- Able to effectively lead a team; cast vision for the ministry to women
- Practice conflict resolution with a grace approach
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and accuracy
- Speak before women’s groups with practical application of God’s Word
- Handle confidential information

Education and/or experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; seminary degree preferred
- Real life experience in ministry
