HR Assistant P/T

Scottish Group is a multi state company based in Denver and is looking for an HR Assistant to join their team for approx 20 hours per week. Scottish Group has employees in their Stained Glass, Window Tinting and Home Improvements divisions. You will work as part of a supportive and collaborative team and assist key leaders in managing the people side of the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with company leaders and managers on recruitment to include creating and updating ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, ordering background/drug screens, profile assessments and communications with applicants.
• Assist with onboarding new employees
• Assist with updating job descriptions.
• Coordinate company safety training programs in line with OSHA and other regulators. To include organizing and documenting regular safety training, working with managers on ensuring the correct safety equipment is available where needed.
• Work with company leaders on the performance management process, ensuring documentation is maintained correctly and that meetings take place as required.
• Assist with benefit packages.
• Advise leaders on people operations issues, suggested policy updates and additions.
• Work on employee engagement initiatives and programs.
• Coordinate employee information for monthly newsletter
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

• Some prior human resources experience desirable but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
