Our growing CPA firm is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to join our team in a full-time, in-office role. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of bookkeeping experience and be highly proficient in QuickBooks. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations for clients in a broad range of industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Record daily financial transactions and reconcile accounts
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Prepare financial reports and summaries as needed
• Assist with payroll processing
• Preparation of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, W-2s, and 1099s
• Preparation of sales tax returns
• Provide support to tax associates and partners for tax return engagements
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in an in-office accounting environment
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
