Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Salesperson role based in Indianapolis, IN, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Salesperson will identify and engage prospective clients, assess their insurance needs, and recommend appropriate coverage options across home, auto, business, life, and other products. Daily responsibilities include responding to inbound inquiries, conducting outbound outreach, preparing quotes, and following up to close sales while maintaining accurate records in agency systems. The role involves building and maintaining long-term client relationships, handling policy changes and renewals, and collaborating with internal team members to ensure a smooth customer experience. The Salesperson is expected to meet sales targets, stay informed about carrier offerings and industry trends, and uphold regulatory and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Strong sales, customer service, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to identify client needs and present suitable insurance solutions.
- Effective communication, active listening, and negotiation skills, including clear written and verbal communication with diverse clients.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail in managing quotes, follow-ups, and policy documentation.
- Comfort with technology, including CRM or agency management systems, email, and virtual meeting tools.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote responsibilities.
- State insurance producer license (or willingness to obtain within a defined timeframe) and understanding of basic insurance concepts.
- Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or consultative sales is preferred but not required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or relevant certifications are a plus.
