Job Summary and Qualifications

• Prepares patients, collects relevant information for completion of procedures.
• Performs all CT and X-ray procedures.
• Observant of patients' conditions.
• Transfers and positions the patient in a safe manner.
• Practices radiation safety as described in federal standards, utilizing ALARA policy.
• Understands and operates electronic information systems.
• Compiles appropriate records to expedite results.
• Administers contrast media as required.
• Participates in continuing education activities to expand/enhance knowledge of CT and to meet the continuing education requirements of the ARRT.
• Involvement in Quality Control/Quality Improvement.
• Initiates patient teaching including family and/or significant others.

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

• Required - Previous experience in Radiology.
• Preferred - One-year dedicated CT experience.

EDUCATION

• Required - Graduate of accredited school of Radiologic Technology. ARRT eligible. BLS – at time of hire.
• Preferred - As above, with ARRT certification in CT. Must obtain certification in CT within 12 Months of date of hire.
