We are looking for someone to take the lead of our Farm Stand and its team. You will oversee day to day operations, facilitate and execute seasonal transitions, merchandise products and rotate displays, and work with a team providing excellent customer service and knowledge about the green industry. This is a fast-paced work environment that requires candidates to be physically active. You will need to be able to stand for long periods of time, walk on uneven terrain, and be able to lift at least 50lbs. You will be exposed to all weather conditions including rain, snow, extreme cold, and extreme heat.
Responsibilities
- Use POS system to ring out customers, take orders, and other cashiering activities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of register and storage areas
- Lead and motivate retail sales teams, assign and ensure follow through on tasks and proper time management on shifts
- Inventory management including placing orders and restocking
- Designing displays and merchandising products to drive sales
- Answer customer questions about plants and make recommendations on plant care products
- Provide excellent customer service by effectively resolving issues effectively and maintaining professional phone etiquette
- Contributes a productive and cheerful attitude to help cultivate a positive work culture
Experience & Skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling and other sales calculations
- Basic horticultural or other relevant industry knowledge
- Professional communication & customer service skills
- POS and register experience
- Operational experience including design and merchandising, and inventory control
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Ability to uphold cleanliness standards
- Team leadership abilities: Prior assistant manager experience is preferred
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
