Responsibilities
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, pruning, planting, and mulching to keep outdoor spaces healthy and attractive
- Operate groundskeeping and landscaping equipment including power tools, lawn mowers, trimmers, and excavators safely and efficiently
- Support hardscape installation projects like patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures
- Maintain irrigation systems by inspecting, repairing, and adjusting sprinklers to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns
- Perform tree trimming, shrub pruning, and plant identification to promote healthy growth and landscape aesthetics
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all outdoor activities to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Assist with snow plowing and winter maintenance tasks as needed to keep properties accessible during inclement weather
Qualifications
Drivers License Required
- Prior outdoor work experience or background in groundskeeping or landscaping is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for outdoor work is essential
- Basic mechanical knowledge of tools and equipment used in landscaping and construction tasks
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices including mowing, gardening, planting, and pest management (pesticide management)
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, irrigation systems, and heavy machinery such as excavators safely
- Strong adherence to safety protocols with a focus on safe operation of equipment like lawnmowers, trimmers, snow plows, and hardscape tools
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to follow detailed instructions in an outdoor environment
- Physical stamina for outdoor work in various weather conditions including lifting heavy materials or operating machinery for extended periods
