Production Manager
Scott Lamp Company, leaders of innovation in custom lighting fixtures has an immediate opening for a full time Production Manager at our Fairfield, CA location. We are seeking enthusiastic, hard-working candidates with experience in manufacturing/production environment to join our team. The Production Manager is responsible for the detailed processes which transform purchased and fabricated materials into finished products for Scott Lamp Company. The Production Manager oversees production and provides support to all manufacturing work centers and staff. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our current production team
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure that all finished goods are manufactured correctly, transacted accurately, and shipped timely and that all raw materials are stored efficiently, transacted accurately and labeled clearly.
Plan and establish work schedules to meet production goals.
Track unscheduled downtime
Take ownership of company’s production and ensure quality products are produced to meet customer demands
Assist Sales and Planning teams with manufacturing expedite requests in the plant.
Monitor and develop quality checks
Ensure safety policies and procedures are in compliance with all local, state and federal, health and safety standards.
Lead the team to achieve production targets
Review and optimize plant floor and warehouse processes to decrease finished goods lead time to the customer and to maintain physical inventory accuracy.
Identify root causes of inventory errors.
Your Role
Lead overall vision for the department.
Ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and work to provide a safe work environment for all employees
Regular and predictable attendance at the work site
You will have a regular presence on the plant floor
Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision-making
Proven ability to thrive in a results-oriented, meaningful environment
Proven ability to coach, facilitate, and inspire team building skills
Understands the quality constraints and challenges to an operation
May operate forklift and manufacturing equipment occasionally
Enforce company policies and procedures

Desired Skills and Qualifications
Demonstrated industry-relevant manufacturing experience.
Proven record of leading manufacturing teams to meet or exceed company goals
Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
Proactive with excellent problem solving abilities
Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and get results through mentoring others
Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
Basic information technology skills
Knowledge of human resources principles and practices

Pay: $75,000.00 - $97,000.00 per year
