You will play a vital role in coordinating surgical procedures and ensuring seamless patient experiences. You will be the central point of contact for scheduling surgeries, managing patient information, and collaborating with medical staff to facilitate efficient operations.
Must have excellent organizational skills and be detail oriented
Compensation based on experience. 90-day probation period applies.
· Duties
· Coordinate and schedule surgical procedures by collaborating with physicians, patients, and surgical teams to confirm dates, times, and necessary preparations.
· Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance authorization, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete for each surgery.
· Review medical records and documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness prior to surgery.
· Communicate effectively with patients via phone and in person regarding pre-operative instructions, appointment details, and follow-up care.
· Provide support by managing telephone calls, filing medical records, verifying insurance benefits, and assisting with a variety of clinic operations.
· Qualifications
· Experience in medical scheduling within a healthcare setting
· Must know medical terminology CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, ICD (International Classification of Diseases) codes such as ICD-10.
· Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line’s efficiently.
· Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations effectively.
· Prior experience in insurance verification
· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to review documentation thoroughly and maintain accurate records.
· Previous clinic or hospital experience preferred; surgical clinic experience is advantageous.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
