Project Engineer – Commercial General Construction
College Station, TX | Full-Time | Onsite
A well-established and growing Commercial General Contractor is actively seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in College Station. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to gain hands-on experience supporting large-scale commercial projects while working within a structured and growth-focused environment.
Position Overview:
The Project Engineer will support the Project Management team in executing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring all documentation, coordination, and communication are handled efficiently to keep projects on track.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1–4 years of experience working for a Commercial General Contractor
Must have project experience on big box retail and/or high-volume retail projects
Strong understanding of construction documentation and project coordination
Preferred Project Experience Includes:
Big box retail developments
High-volume retail / roll-out projects
Ground-up commercial construction
Tenant improvements within retail environments
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing project documentation from preconstruction through closeout
Track and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Coordinate with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and internal teams
Support project scheduling and ensure timelines are being met
Attend project meetings and assist with progress reporting
Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with company standards
