Scott Group Studio is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Sales Account Executive to manage and continue growing an established sales territory across Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Toronto, Ontario.
This is more than a sales role - it's an opportunity to partner with architects, interior designers, dealers, and end users to create custom carpet and rug solutions for some of North America's most distinctive commercial, hospitality, and luxury interior projects.

What You'll Do:
As a Sales Account Executive, you'll manage and continue growing an established territory by strengthening existing relationships while developing new business opportunities within the architecture and design community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage and grow an established territory by building relationships with architects, interior designers, dealers, end users, and other key decision-makers.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing client relationships to achieve annual sales and booking goals.
- Execute strategic sales and marketing initiatives to increase market share throughout the assigned territory.
- Partner closely with Scott Group Studio's Design, Marketing, Production, and Customer Experience teams to deliver customized solutions that exceed client expectations.
- Manage projects from initial design consultation through manufacturing and final installation while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and accurately manage customer activity using the company's CRM platform.
- Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and emerging opportunities, providing valuable feedback to leadership.
- Represent Scott Group Studio at client presentations, showroom appointments, networking events, trade shows, and industry functions.
- Support Scott Group Studio's brand presence through relationship building, networking, and professional engagement within the architecture and design community.
What We're Looking For:
We're looking for someone who enjoys cultivating relationships just as much as creating new opportunities.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, Design, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Five or more years of successful outside sales, account management, or business development experience.
- Experience working with the architecture and design community, commercial interiors, luxury furnishings, flooring, textiles, or related industries is highly preferred.
- A consultative sales approach with exceptional communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Experience using CRM software to manage customer relationships and sales opportunities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other standard business applications.
Travel:
This is position requires regular travel throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, and Toronto, Ontario Canada to meet with clients, conduct presentations, visit project sites, and attend industry events. Occasional travel elsewhere in North America may also be required.
Candidates must possess:
- A valid driver's license.
- The ability and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
- Eligibility to travel between the United States and Canada.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods while traveling and conducting presentations.
- Ability to lift and carry sample materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to pass the Farnsworth-Munsell 100 Hue Test (or equivalent color vision assessment).
- Ability to work with wool products.
- Ability to regularly use computers, mobile devices, and other office equipment.
