Scott Enterprises, Inc., a leader in the commercial/industrial roofing industry, has an exceptional opportunity for the right individual! The ideal candidate will have an Associates or bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction technology, engineering, or related field and the following skills/characteristics:

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
• Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers, subcontractors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Ability to work with computer software packages such as Microsoft Office, CAD database applications, construction industry software and other basic software. SAGE/TIMBERLINE EXPERIENCE A PLUS!
• Must be “alert” and able to quickly and appropriately respond to various construction related questions.
• Ability to effectively run multiple projects in an efficient manner

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for drawings and submittals and to ensure they are completed, submitted, and turned back to the field as quickly as possible.
• Attend pre-construction meetings and add input to mobilizing and set up of project for start.
• Sets up estimates on computer prior to bid.
• Reviews drawings and specifications for projects to determine the entire scope of work required.
• Performs take-offs of all bids to determine materials, sub-contract work and labor necessary to successfully complete the project.
• Pulls together all information and prepares final estimate for projects to establish budget costs and final bid price.
• Attends pre-planning and pre-construction meetings for assigned awarded projects.
• Reviews all construction documents for changes from bid documents and prepares request for major change orders if applicable.
• Prepare estimates/proposals as required for extra work and/or time and material billings.
• Prepare all sheet metal drawings and quantities needed to Sheet Metal Fabricator in a timely manner that allows for a coordinated, on-time delivery of sheet metal to the job.
• Prepare and issue change orders to customers, suppliers and/or contractors.
• Assist in obtaining bond requirements when necessary.
• Ensure that all proposals and contracts are processed and that any information required, initiating or complete client billing, is given to accounting personnel in a timely manner.
