Scott & Associates, P.C. is seeking an experienced State Managing Attorney to lead and develop our Texas team of attorneys within our growing multi-state litigation practice.
This role is ideal for a results-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys mentoring other attorneys, and takes pride in driving both legal and operational excellence.
As a State Managing Attorney, you’ll oversee designated legal processes across firm locations within your specialty area while ensuring consistency, compliance, and performance across your assigned attorney teams.
You’ll have a direct hand in shaping strategy, developing talent, and maintaining the high standards our clients and firm demand.
What You’ll Do
• Manage attorney workload and ensure balanced, efficient case management
• Train, mentor, and onboard newly hired attorneys
• Audit attorney performance and provide coaching for continuous improvement
• Serve as a trusted resource for complex or unusual legal issues
• Respond to legal and procedural components of internal or client audits
• Partner with attorneys to resolve operational or procedural challenges
• Communicate and uphold firm policies and performance standards
• Foster the professional growth and development of attorney staff
• Perform other duties as assigned by firm leadership
What You’ll Bring
• 5 years’ experience in the legal recoveries industry
• 3 years’ leadership experience within a legal environment
• Active law license in the jurisdiction of practice
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical ability, and follow-through
• Strong judgment, discretion, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
• Excellent written and verbal command of the English language
• A collaborative, patient approach when working with attorneys of diverse backgrounds and experience levels
• Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in all aspects of the role
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
