Job Overview
Assists Residential coordinator in planning, administering, directing, supervising and coordinating activities of direct support staff in the operation of residential programs. Learning the duties and responsibilities of the Residential Coordinator.
Duties
- · Know and understand protocols for this position at all times. This includes new and existing protocols set into place.
· Attend any scheduled meetings for the day (concerning residential services, PA, or administration).
· Review and track reports to assure plan competency checks, mealtime observations, medication monitors, fire and tornado drills, location monitors, etc. are performed and locations are monitored as required.
· See that homes are always staffed appropriately; Consistent with staffing plans.
· See that houses and agency vehicles are properly maintained, cleaned, and in compliance with regulations.
· Assure that individual Support Plans are appropriate and implemented by monitoring homes for follow through.
· Perform chart reviews including daily communication notes, tracking logues, MARs, etc. and report blanks to supervisors timely.
· Stay informed with residential issues and program requirements and follow up where applicable.
· Notify supervisor of concerning issues for possible reportable incidents, reportable staff misconduct, or AOD notification.
· Ensure activity calendar events are followed through with and/or rescheduled at the discretion of the department supervisors.
· Stay trained on plans and needs of person(s) supported.
· Submit maintenance requests as needed.
· Address and counsel staff on non-compliance with policies and procedures, plan competency, med variances, etc.
· Be available for family members and person(s) supported for issues or concerns with programming.
· Strive for program improvement and efficiency at all times.
· Monitor and address compliance issues with residential staff planning for day activities (i.e. packing bags, etc.).
· Review appointments list and ensure staff are notified and prepared, vans are fueled, and plans are followed accordingly by night shift.
· Enter Location Monitors and issues into database and report issues not resolved timely to coordinators.
· Track grocery and necessity shopping lists, menus, and activity calendars turned in and returned by Residential Coordinator. May need to approve lists at times. Hold checks for lists not submitted and approved.
· Check all activity calendars and coordinate staffing, transportation, meals, etc. for residential outings.
