Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Project Manager located in Amory, MS. The Assistant Project Manager will assist the project manager throughout each phase of construction with estimating, procurement, planning, execution, coordinating logistics, expediting materials and equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience)
- 1–3 years of experience in construction project coordination, field supervision, or project management support
- Strong understanding of project documentation including subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Working knowledge of scheduling concepts and project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam.
- Ability to create shop drawings using CAD or design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, SketchUp, or comparable programs)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with owners, engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to supporting project delivery
- Ability to visit and work at project sites as required, including exposure to active construction environments
