Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Manually handle and scrub items that cannot be processed through dishwashers while maintaining proper sanitation standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including organizing supplies and ensuring ingredients are stored correctly.
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, floors, and storage spaces.
- Requirements
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts.
