What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Tech Assistant position at Scotland Healthcare System?
JOB SUMMARY
The ITA performs selected patient care tasks, under the direction of a registered Imaging Technologist, to assist in the delivery of patient care. She/he also performs, when necessary, clerical duties and assists the Imaging staff in maintaining records and completing reports. He/she coordinates communications between Imaging staff, the patient, and interdisciplinary departments. Is accountable for all patient care she/he gives in the Imaging department.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalent required; 5 years patient care experience preferred; current CPR; one year experience in hospital setting, preferably critical care; must demonstrates excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Diplomacy, tact, and a positive approach to problem-solving are required to be successful. Organizational skills are a must. Fosters a teamwork environment. Must be able to communicate with patients, customers, other departments, and staff in an articulate manner.
Location: Scotland Memorial Hospital · Imaging/Radiology
Schedule: Full-Time, Evening, Mon-Thurs 4:00pm-1:30am
