We’re looking for an experienced and forward-thinking Planning Manager to join our growing team. This role is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven professional to lead improvements in our supply chain operations, optimize planning systems, and shape the future of how we serve our customers across multiple locations.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and enhancement of business processes, serving as the subject matter expert for continuous improvements across the planning environment.
- Drive proactive planning strategies to optimize inventory, boost service levels, and streamline supply chain efficiency.
- Champion demand management and statistical forecasting improvements, ensuring accuracy and visibility across departments.
- Analyze and maintain demand for specific accounts, identifying gaps between forecasted and actual sales to keep replenishment plans on target.
- Inspire and mentor the planning team, fostering growth, accountability, and a culture of collaboration.
- Develop and implement KPIs to monitor performance and identify operational opportunities.
- Own all aspects of the planning system (John Galt/DM), leading upgrades, training sessions, and ensuring accuracy in safety stock levels and lead times.
- Manage inventory balance between distribution centers to achieve high service levels while minimizing stock and transportation costs.
- Lead and execute cross-functional projects with minimal supervision, effectively managing timelines and stakeholder communication.
- Oversee all SKU management, ensuring transparency in product availability and communicating supply chain updates to senior management.
- Facilitate alignment discussions when demand exceeds supply, collaborating across teams to close supply-demand gaps.
- Maintain materials lifecycle status in ERP systems and provide supply visibility to sales and marketing.
- Perform multi-site and multi-level planning to align supplier capacity and internal objectives.
- Partner closely with sales, accounting, fulfillment, and IT teams to develop innovative, data-driven solutions that drive efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
What You Bring
- 10 years of planning experience in a distribution environment with strong understanding of ERP systems and planning processes.
- Proven leadership experience in consumer electronics, consumer goods, or retail distribution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field (PMP or similar certification a plus).
- 3–5 years of retail experience in inventory, buying, logistics, or supply chain management.
- 2–4 years in supply chain improvement, financial analysis, or strategic planning.
- Expert-level skills in Google Sheets and advanced Excel.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to develop and present compelling business cases to leadership.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
