As our HR Generalist, you will support Scorability’s people operations across many areas including benefits, compliance and reporting. You will play a key role in delivering excellent employee support across HR programs, onboarding/offboarding, benefits, payroll coordination and culture initiatives. This is a hands-on role reporting to our VP, People and partnering with employees across the company to strengthen our workplace experience and support scalable growth.
What You’ll Do
- Administer benefits programs and serve as point of contact for employee benefit questions and enrollment support
- Manage benefits onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions
- Serve as a trusted resource for employees by responding to HR-related inquiries and addressing needs with confidentiality and care while escalating to the appropriate leadership team members for resolution
- Maintain and update HRIS data and employee files with accuracy and confidentiality
- Support compliance efforts and help maintain policies and employee handbook content in alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple states
- Manage employee leave programs and accommodations in compliance with applicable laws
- Assist in employee relations activities through documentation, policy guidance, and HR best-practice support
- Support HR audits, reporting, and data-driven insights to improve processes
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR systems, processes, and tools
- Own and execute upon key office management duties in our Iowa office (supplies, badges, employee recognition, culture initiatives, etc)
- 3–6 years of progressive People/HR experience, preferably in a fast-growing or startup environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong working knowledge of HR principles, employment law, and HR best practices
- Experience supporting HR operations, benefits administration, and compliance
- Familiarity with modern HRIS platforms and ability to support reporting needs
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills
- Strong discretion and integrity when handling confidential information
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in driving improvements
