Specific Responsibilities
- Supervise a safe and secure environment both physically and emotionally for parent-child visits.
- Provide education to parents on parenting techniques and child development.
- Monitor interactions and offer constructive feedback and support.
- Deliver coaching during parent-child interactions and follow-up sessions.
- Assist families with completing applications and required documentation.
- Prepare and submit weekly reports detailing family progress and recommendations.
- Participate in monthly team meetings, Family Team Conferences, Discharge Conferences, and group supervision to help develop and implement service plans.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field from an accredited college or university (degrees in other disciplines will be fully considered).
- Strong writing skills and proficiency in basic computer applications, including email, word processing, and internet research.
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Tuesday–Saturday); schedule based on program needs and parent/child visit times; some holidays required.
- Position requires driving; must possess a valid NYS Driver’s License and pass a DMV driving record check.
- Agency vehicles are available for work-related travel.
