What are the responsibilities and job description for the COOK position at SCO Family of Services?
Reports To: Center Director & Education Director
Description: Food Services/Food Catered
• Maintain nutrition program’s record-keeping and reporting as directed by supervisor.
• Review food and supplies order sheets, delivery slips, menus, meal count form.
• Store food and supplies properly, monitor and maintain proper food temperatures.
• Maintain appropriate cleanliness of all kitchen materials and supplies as required.
• Be aware of center allergies and concerns.
• Coordinate delivery of food to classrooms and deliver food to classrooms.
• Collect food carts from classrooms after meals
• The Cook’s responsibilities chiefly fall within the following core functions, although s/he may perform other tasks as needed and as directed by the Education Director.
Maintenance:
Responsible for kitchen, bathrooms, hallways, classrooms, indoor gym and office cleanliness
Clean floors by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming
Gather and empty trash. Put outside for pick up
Scrub and disinfect all bathrooms, urinals, sinks, toilet bowl and other fixtures daily
Fill all paper dispensers: paper towel, toilet paper
Fill all soap dispensers
Report any damage to school property, furniture to Education Director
Requisition of supplies and equipment needed for building maintenance
Qualifications:
• Current food handler’s certificate
