Compensation: Starting at $140,000 annually, based on experience

Position Summary
The Solutions Architect designs and implements scalable, secure, and innovative technology solutions for Smart City’s clients and internal teams. This role bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring our services remain cutting-edge and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with sales, operations, and engineering teams to design tailored technology solutions for convention centers, trade shows, and large-scale events.
- Lead technical discovery sessions with clients to understand requirements, constraints, and goals.
- Develop architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and implementation plans for network infrastructure, Wi-Fi deployments, and digital services.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to Smart City’s service offerings.
- Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, security protocols, and Smart City’s operational guidelines.
- Provide technical leadership during project execution and serve as a subject matter expert for escalations.
- Support RFP responses and contribute to proposal development with technical insights.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, network engineering, or IT consulting.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi), cloud services, and cybersecurity principles.
- Experience with event-based technology deployments or hospitality IT environments is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, AWS Solutions Architect, or similar are highly desirable.
