The Senior Maintenance Parts Clerk identifies inventory and kits parts for all facilities and production maintenance
operations. This position is responsible for the identification, kitting, and ensuring consistent availability of all maintenance
parts and tools. The Senior Maintenance Parts Clerk keeps track of large amounts of inventory using computerized
inventory systems and ensures all items are appropriately organized and kitted. In partnership with parts department staff,
maintenance and facilities planners, the Senior Maintenance Parts Clerk ensures all parts are kitted per Fiix, SCN BestCo’s
computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), scheduled maintenance plan and are ready for use by the
maintenance team.
Estimated starting annual base salary is $30.00/ hour less applicable withholdings and deductions, paid on a bi-weekly basis. Please note that the actual compensation offered may vary based on relevant factors as determined by the Company, which may include, but is not limited to, location, experience, qualifications, education, skillset, and market conditions. The target base compensation for this role is in the low to middle of the range, with the top of the range reserved for only exceptional circumstances. In addition, this role is eligible for a discretionary, variable annual incentive, paid based on Company performance factors. | Essential Duties and Responsibilities |
- Support the maintenance team with improvements to the scheduled maintenance plan through identifying, kitting,
and ordering of all maintenance parts and materials. - Track scheduled maintenance plan using CMMS. Kit and order parts based on future scheduled maintenance.
- Provide projections of future orders to MRO Buyers based on rate of consumption.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels, make ordering decisions, and ensure optimal inventory is ready when needed.
- Working with the planning department in the CMMS system, support the creation of Bill of Materials (BOM) for all
equipment centers and individual scheduled maintenance routines. - Work with members of the maintenance, planning, and facilities teams and other departments as needed.
- Examine and investigate misidentified or out-of-balance items and determine the causes for the discrepancies.
- Research and identify requested parts, obtain accurate part numbers and quantities, order and restock parts, and
update work orders and staff on order status. - Work with supervisor to lead the organization/reorganization of all machine parts and materials.
- Distribute parts and other materials to authorized personnel.
- Assist and advise personnel regarding choice of replacement parts, equipment, etc.
- Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Maintenance SOPs, as well as related training
activities. - Support maintenance personnel with projects and work orders as needed.
| Required Qualifications |
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years of mechanical experience in production and/or facilities maintenance.
- Mechanical, purchasing, and or administrative experience.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Strong time management, communication, teamwork, organization, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with computer programming and Microsoft Office particularly Excel.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. - Must have the ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with internal staff and management.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple
correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers,
clients, and other employees of the organization. - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
| Preferred Qualifications |
- Prior mechanical maintenance experience in the food processing industry.
- Experience training others on maintenance procedures.
- Nutraceutical or pharmaceutical production industry experience.
- Knowledge of basic mechanics.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.

The noise level in the manufacturing work environment is usually loud. The Parts Coordinator occasionally works in wet or
humid conditions, near mechanical moving parts, with exposure to fumes or airborne particles, outdoor weather
conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
