CORPORATE SUMMARY
Salt Creek Midstream (SCM) is a greenfield midstream company built to provide a full suite of midstream services and downstream solutions to producers in the Delaware Basin. SCM leverages fundamental and intra-basin knowledge to optimize the value of producer resources, reduce bottlenecks and deliver higher netbacks to the producer.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Gas I&E Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment to keep it running smoothly, performing tests and calibrations, repairing or replacing components, and troubleshooting equipment operational problems. Reports to the Technical Services Manager - Gas. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Understands accepted troubleshooting guidelines for PLC, control valves and all PLC logic.
• Possess overall knowledge of the installation, operation, repair, of assigned equipment.
• Maintains sufficient inventory of electrical supplies and repair parts to meet most emergency situations.
• Takes care of company vehicle, keeping it clean and organized.
• Reports any unsafe practices or actions to supervisor.
• Keeps lines of communication open to supervisor and other company employees while meeting the needs of all customers.
• Makes call outs on equipment.
• Works with project managers, engineering, and contractors on all new construction projects.
• Maintain all controls, monitor alarms and sensor tests.
• Troubleshooting and scheduling electrical maintenance for the assigned location.
• Solid understanding of electrical motor control.
• Knowledge of electrical prints and capable of making appropriate red-line changes to them.
• Assist PLC programming personnel.
• Good understanding of PLC cause and effect.
• Supervise electrical contractors.
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certificates, Licenses, and registrations required: Valid Driver’s License.
• General knowledge of compressor stations, gathering system, and processing plant operations.
• Journeyman electrician.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively present information in a one–on-one and small group situation to other employees of the company and outside contractors.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out day-to-day operation issues.
• Completion of any site-specific technical training.
• Knowledgeable in operating and maintaining equipment within oil and gas facilities.
• Basic understanding of electrical concepts, test equipment, flow schematics, and electrical and piping/instrumentation drawings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Ability to occasionally lift or carry moderately heavy equipment up to 50 pounds, working, stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and walking distances in all types of terrain.
• May work outdoors in an open environment with extremes of heat and cold.
• Be able to accommodate travel, overtime, and participate in “on-call” rotation as required.
