As a Medical Assistant, you’ll work alongside our providers to deliver outstanding care in a fast-paced, supportive, and patient-centered environment.

What You’ll Do:
As an important member of our clinical team, you will:

• Welcome and care for patients with professionalism, compassion, and respect.
• Room patients and complete accurate patient intake, including:
  • Vital signs
  • Medication reconciliation
  • Medical history updates
  • Problem lists
  • Immunization review
• Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures.
• Prepare patients, exam rooms, and equipment for appointments and procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients in a timely manner.
• Process prescription refill requests and patient messages.
• Assist with scheduling, referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic testing as needed.
• Perform EKGs, lab draws, and point-of-care laboratory testing.
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized exam rooms and clinical workspaces.
• Clean, disinfect, and sterilize instruments following OSHA and infection prevention standards.
• Monitor medical supplies, medications, and expiration dates.
• Support quality initiatives and ensure required documentation is completed for every patient visit.
• Collaborate with teammates to provide seamless patient care throughout the clinic.
• Respond professionally during emergencies and assist wherever needed.
• Participate in department meetings and ongoing education.
• Maintain a current BLS certification.
• Perform other duties that support the success of the clinic and our patients.

• Previous Medical Assistant experience is preferred, but we are happy to train the right candidate.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly.
• Stand, walk, bend, and sit throughout the workday.
• Assist patients when necessary.
• Work in an environment with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and communicable diseases.
• Remain calm and professional during busy or stressful situations.
