What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional position at Scituate Light Caregivers LLC?
Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meal preparation.
Administer or assist with medications according to agency policy and state regulations.
Support individuals in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Service Plan (ISP).
Provide companionship, emotional support, and encouragement.
Transport individuals to medical appointments, recreational activities, work, and community events.
Complete accurate documentation, daily notes, incident reports, and medication records.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment.
Implement behavior support plans when applicable.
Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Assist with household tasks such as cooking, laundry, shopping, and cleaning.
Promote independence, self-advocacy, and community participation.
Attend required trainings and staff meetings.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with all agency, state, and federal regulations.
