What are the responsibilities and job description for the Analytical Laboratory Director position at Scissortail Laboratory, LLC?
We are an analytical testing laboratory looking for a Laboratory Director to undertake a variety of managerial and analytical tasks at our OKC location. Pay is commensurate with experience.
You will be overseeing the preparation and analysis of samples using LC/MS/MS, HPLC, GC/MS, ICP/MS and GC/FID. You will also perform and/or oversee instrument maintenance and troubleshooting. Occassionally you will be expected to fill in for analysts to ensure turnaround times can be met in employees' absense. You will also work closely with our QA department to ensure analytical activities meet state regulatory and ISO 17025 accreditation requirements.
A laboratory background is required, along with a 4 year degree in a science-based field, including a minimum of 24 chemistry hours. You will be expected to come in with a good understanding of proper laboratory safety conditions and possess necessary analytical skills. OMMA Employee Credentials or the ability to apply for them is required. This does require a background check. Pay is dependant on experience.
Organizational skills and internal motivation to meet expected turnaround times is paramount. The goal is to optimize lab procedures and succeed in producing reliable and reproducible results that our clients can trust, while meeting turnaround time expectations.
The ideal candidate has a strong laboratory background, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is able to multi-task while paying close attention to detail.
