Job Title: Part-Time Sports Performance Coach
About Us
SciSport is dedicated to developing young athletes by providing high-quality sports performance training. We work with middle and high school athletes to enhance strength, speed, agility, and overall athleticism in a safe, structured, and motivating environment.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sports Performance Coach to join our team on a part-time, 1099 contractor basis. The ideal candidate has experience working with athletes and possesses a strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles. This role involves coaching young athletes focused on speed, agility, strength, and injury prevention.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement effective training programs for middle and high school athletes.
- Lead dynamic, high-energy training sessions in individual and small group settings.
- Assess athletes’ strengths and areas for improvement, adjusting programs accordingly.
- Educate athletes on proper technique, injury prevention, and performance enhancement.
- Maintain a positive and professional training environment.
- Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and other coaches regarding progress and goals.
- Ensure a safe and structured training atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Performance, or related field (preferred but not required).
- Certification in Strength & Conditioning (CSCS, NASM-PES, USAW, or equivalent preferred).
- Previous experience training athletes, preferably in a college or professional sports performance setting.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain).
Schedule & Availability
- Seeking someone with availability on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 4:30 - 7:30 PM.
- Ideal for trainers looking to supplement their income with consistent coaching opportunities.
