The Regional Sales Manager leads and develops a high-performing sales team covering the Greater Boston market. This role is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth through strategic planning, execution, and hands-on field leadership.
This is a remote, field-based role that must be located in the Boston area.
The position reports to the Senior Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, coach, and develop sales team members; conduct performance evaluations and manage corrective actions as needed
- Own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue targets for the Boston territory
- Develop and execute the regional sales strategy, including customer segmentation, account prioritization, and growth initiatives
- Drive execution of sales plans across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic customer segments
- Position Integrated DNA Technologies as a trusted solution provider and customer advocate
- Partner cross-functionally with Field Application Scientists, Sales Specialists, and Product Management to exceed sales targets
- Spend a minimum of 3 days per week in the field coaching, influencing, and strategically guiding the sales team
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences (advanced degree preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of sales leadership experience, consistently exceeding targets in $20M life sciences or genomics portfolios
- Strong familiarity with academic and corporate accounts in the Boston/Cambridge market
- Experience operating within a large life sciences organization, with demonstrated ability to navigate complex corporate structures
- Willingness to travel 50% and maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record

- Sales leadership experience in custom products and/or applications including:
- NGS
- CRISPR
- Synthetic Biology
- qPCR / dPCR
Salary : $190,000 - $210,000
