Case Manager / CDCA
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Case Manager / Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA) to join our outpatient behavioral health team. This role supports individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions by coordinating care, providing recovery support services, and assisting with treatment planning under clinical supervision.
The Case Manager/CDCA works collaboratively with clinicians, medical providers, and community partners to ensure clients receive comprehensive, person-centered care that supports long-term recovery.
Key ResponsibilitiesClient Care & Case Management
- Conduct intake screenings and psychosocial assessments within scope of CDCA practice
- Assist in development and implementation of individualized treatment plans under clinical supervision
- Coordinate referrals to community resources including housing, employment, medical care, MAT providers, and social services
- Monitor client progress and provide ongoing recovery support and follow-up
- Maintain regular contact with clients to promote engagement and retention in treatment
Substance Use & Recovery Support
- Provide group and/or individual services within CDCA scope and supervision requirements
- Support relapse prevention planning and recovery goal setting
- Assist clients in developing life skills and accessing sober support systems
- Document and report client progress to the clinical team
Documentation & Compliance
- Complete timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with OhioMHAS, Medicaid, and agency standards
- Maintain client records in the electronic health record (EHR) system
- Participate in treatment team meetings, case reviews, and supervision
Collaboration & Professionalism
- Work closely with therapists, medical providers, and leadership to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate professionally with referral sources, probation/parole, and other external stakeholders as needed
- Adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality (HIPAA), and agency policies
Required Qualifications
- Active CDCA certification through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCDPB)
- High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based clinical environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in outpatient behavioral health or substance use treatment
- Experience with Medicaid-funded services and OhioMHAS regulations
- Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation
- Case management or community resource coordination experience
Supervision & Schedule
- Position operates under clinical supervision as required by Ohio regulations
- Full-time or part-time opportunities available
- Daytime and/or evening hours may be required based on program needs

Scioto Wellness Center is currently building a candidate pipeline in preparation for program launch. Applicants may be contacted prior to March 2026 for interviews, onboarding planning, and credential verification; however, employment will not commence until the anticipated opening timeframe.
Pay: From $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
