Advancing Abilities – Scioto Trails is seeking an experienced, engaged Director of Nursing (DON) to lead health services across our ICF/IID, Waiver, and Day/Vocational programs. This role requires a strong leader who is approachable, knowledgeable, and present-supporting staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead and oversee nursing and health services across multiple programs and locations
· Supervise nursing leadership and staff while promoting accountability, consistency, and teamwork
· Ensure compliance with ODH, DODD, CDC, OSHA, ICF/IID, and Waiver regulations
· Maintain regular on-site presence and provide hands-on leadership when needed
· Oversee medication systems, infection control, risk management, and emergency preparedness
· Lead staff training, development, and quality improvement initiatives
· Participate in surveys, IDTs, and quality assurance activities
Additional Responsibilities:
· Participate in on-call rotation and provide medical and nursing consultation as needed
· Provide oversight and guidance related to education of families and guardians on medical supports, medications, and treatment plans
· Respond to medical emergencies and ensure timely coordination of emergency care and sound clinical decision-making
· Oversee delegated nursing practices and ensure competency-based training of direct care staff
· Support budget oversight related to nursing operations, medical supplies, and health-related resources

Qualifications
· Current Ohio Registered Nurse (RN) license
· Minimum of 3–5 years of successful, demonstrated experience supervising and managing health services, including regulatory compliance, staff leadership, quality improvement, and clinical operations
· Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
· Experience with developmental disabilities services preferred
