Role Description The Bartender at Scioto Reserve Country Club is a full-time, on-site role based in Powell, OH. This role is responsible for preparing and serving beverages and food items to members and guests in bars, lounges, and event spaces, while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area. Day-to-day tasks include mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, taking and entering orders, handling cash and payment transactions, and following all club and legal guidelines related to alcohol service. The Bartender also interacts with members and guests to provide friendly, attentive customer service, supports banquet and event operations as needed, restocks inventory, and collaborates with the food and beverage team to ensure a high-quality experience.
Qualifications
- Strong Customer Service skills with a focus on member satisfaction and positive guest interactions
- Effective Communication skills for interacting with members, guests, and team members
- Food & Beverage knowledge, including basic food service, drink menus, and safety standards
- Cash Handling skills with accuracy in processing payments and balancing a cash drawer
- Bartending experience, including mixing drinks, following recipes, and responsible alcohol service
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by bar operations
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn country club or hospitality environment standards
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on club event schedules
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, or clubs is preferred
- Relevant certifications (e.g., alcohol server permit, food safety) are a plus
